NEW Rangers chief executive Jim Gillespie has vowed to set standards off the pitch to ensure success on it.
The St Mirren vice-chairman makes the move to Govan after being headhunted by Ibrox supremo Andrew Cavenagh.
The Ibrox outfit had been on the lookout for a new man to lead the day-to-day running of the club since Patrick Stewart's sacking in November.
And they didn't have to look far to find 47-year-old Gillespie (above).
The lifelong Rangers fan - who doubled up as an award-winning chief executive of the Kibble charity during his stint in Paisley - was previously in the running for the job in August 2024.
But Gillespie knocked it back after concerns about working with the old regime in charge at Ibrox.
Now the move has been resurrected by American owner Cavenagh.
