FASHION designer Karen Millen has been blasted this week for daring to suggest mothers who breastfeed their babies up to the age of three and beyond are “weird and selfish”.

Karen had been talking on Vanessa Feltz’s show about a woman in the US who still had her two-stone three-year-old on the teat.

Sorry, but that IS a bit weird. And who does that benefit most? Because of the abuse and the social media savaging Karen’s had at the hands of other mums — and what does that say about them and their nurturing compassionate natures? — she’s now apologised.
