THERE'S an old saying in Glasgow: "A draw's a disaster and a defeat's a catastrophe." Wilfried Nancy is finding that out pretty quickly.

But Celtic fans should maybe sit back and take a breath.

Losing a top-of-the-table clash isn't the end of the world. It happens.

Likewise, going down to a Serie A heavyweight is hardly unexpected.

Losing a cup final to St Mirren, though? That would be an entirely different story.

Nancy has raised eyebrows by ripping up Martin O'Neill's winning formula to implement his own philosophy during a hectic period in the campaign.

So far, it hasn't clicked.

But the Frenchman is convinced that given time - an alien word in this part of the world - he'll get it right.

He said: "Yes, for sure, it's a mix of everything. I am different in terms of the previous coach, we are all different.

"Players have to adjust regarding that. I also have to adjust regarding the players and also change, not a lot of change, but a few changes because we are all different.

"So yes, it takes time. When you try to learn something it's difficult to catch it like that. I knew that before I signed and this is the adversity I knew I would face.

"Now what is good is with my group we have open discussions regarding everything - the system, the way we play.

"My job is not to arrive and say, 'This is how we're going to play, so we have to do this and shut your mouth.

"I'm not like that. This is a project.
