RINGROSE BLOWN AWAY BY OWEN’S IMPACT ON LIONS
GARRY RINGROSE hailed Owen Farrell as the full package after seeing the former England captain up close for the first time.
The pair linked up in midfield for 63 minutes of the Lions’ 24-19 win against a First Nations & Pasifika XV in Melbourne, having not played together previously.
Farrell pitched up in Australia as a replacement for Elliot Daly nearly three weeks ago, and irish centre Ringrose now knows exactly why he was parachuted into the tour.
The Englishman, captain in Tuesday’s game, got the squad together in the days after the first Test in Brisbane for the Pasifika clash — then delivered on the pitch, having a hand in three tries.
