"At times, I wanted to give up, but I remembered the inner strength I have and that I needed to break the cycle of abuse," said Delia Sanchez, a survivor of domestic violence and Legal Advocate/Paralegal at Domestic Violence Services of Lancaster County. "We must respect survivors' individual journeys and understand that it is their story to share. I use my moment of awakening to better understand where others are and to advocate for the resources, respect, and understanding all survivors deserve. It is crucial that survivors have the information they need to make informed decisions about how to escape safely."
