IN the JW Lees ECB Premier League, Ramsbottom's improving form continued as they followed up last week's home win with a 12-run victory at Burnley.

- RICHARD PARTINGTON

After winning the toss and opting to bat first, Rammy made 148 all out with JJ Fielding hitting 40 and Shaun von Berg 41. Fergus Bailey claimed 4-25 for the home side.

Ockert Erasmus hit 55 in Burnley's reply but once he fell, lbw to von Berg, the game was up for the struggling reigning champs. However, their six-point return meant they climbed out of the relegation zone, Rochdale dropping to second bottom after they were beaten by 129 runs at Walsden.

Rochdale won the toss and fielded first, the home side making 276-6 from their 50 overs with Joe Gale 95 and Elliott Gilford 57.
