Perth and Kinross councillors have unanimously approved the latest phase of the Oudenarde village development.
Plans for 43 houses on land north of the A912 at Oudenarde – submitted by GS Brown – were granted planning permission by Perth and Kinross Council's Planning and Placemaking Committee on Wednesday, May 14.
In September 2016 planning permission in principle was given for up to 1600 homes as well as commercial and industrial development and a primary school at Oudenarde, Bridge of Earn.
At Wednesday's meeting, Bailie Mike Williamson asked about the “poorly drained land” and sought assurance drainage measures on the site would be “adequate”.
PKC’s Major Applications and Enforcement team leader Sean Panton told councillors that the local authority's flood team was satisfied the development would improve drainage.
Mr Panton said: “There is a lot of hard standing, it's a brownfield site.
