Perform in Perth to showcase top talent as festival entries are open

Perform in Perth - which has showcased the talents of the region for more than 100 years - has announced that entries for its 2026 Festival are now officially open.

Some of the world's biggest stars - who are also festival alumni - have thrown their support behind the 2026 event, with actors Ewan McGregor, Alan Cumming and Taggart star Colin McCredie heaping praise on the event following the announcement.

Taking place from March 9 to 21, 2026, this annual celebration of music, speech and dance invites performers of all ages and abilities to take part in one of Scotland's most enduring cultural traditions.

Perform in Perth—the working title for registered charity Perthshire Musical (Competition) Festival—has been at the heart of Perth's cultural life for over 100 years.

Each year, around 2800 performers from across Perthshire and beyond step onto the stage in a range of competitive and noncompetitive classes for soloists and groups.

The festival provides a unique opportunity for beginners and advanced performers alike to develop their skills, share their talents, and receive valuable feedback from a team of expert adjudicators.
