Asylum seeker claims refuted at Kilgraston

False claims Owners of Kilgraston have quashed the rumours regarding the school

The new owners of a former Perthshire independent school building this week dismissed rumours it is to be used to house asylum seekers stating they are “entirely unfounded and wholly inaccurate”.

Earlier this month Perth and Kinross Council and Perth and Kinross-shire MP Pete Wishart had pointed to the spread of inaccurate online comments about the Kilgraston School estate near Bridge of Earn which was recently sold to a private developer.

Kilgraston closed last year after an investor pulled out of a funding deal and it was put on the market last November.

Its new owner Lumara Capital said this week: “We wish to state, in the clearest possible terms, that these rumours are entirely unfounded and wholly inaccurate.
