Teen 'led away like a leash' to be raped, jury told

SHE WAS ALLEGEDLY ATTACKED BY TWO MEN, ONE OF WHOM HAS NEVER BEEN FOUND
A TEENAGER told a jury how she was raped by two strangers in a secluded area of a Nottinghamshire park in two separate sex attacks only minutes apart.
The teen, whose identity is protected by law, claims to have been led “like she was on a leash” away from a group by the second man who then raped her before demanding she “better not say anything”.
Sheraz Malik is on trial at Birmingham Crown Court for three charges of rape, all denied.
The police video interview with the alleged victim, carried out days after the alleged offences in Suttonin-Ashfield, was played to the jury of seven women and five men.
In it, the teenager said she was first led away from a main group by the first man who she said sexually assaulted her and then raped her as she squatted down to go to the toilet.
She said that person, who has never been identified, then took her back to the group where the 28-yearold defendant then led her away.
