Councillor objects to sex shop on ‘walking route to school’

A SEX shop has been operating for 21 years without complaint - until now.

Temptations Adult Shop on Nantwich Road, in Crewe - has always had its licence renewed annually by a council.

But this year's licence renewal has attracted an objection - from a Macclesfield councillor.

It has now been discussed at a Cheshire East Council licensing subcommittee meeting and a final decision was delayed.

Licensing team leader Kim Evans told the committee: "In respect of the premises, there have been no complaints received, either from members of the public or from responsible authorities, and the premises has not been discussed in any of our police licensing liaison meetings where problem premises are discussed."
