Blockley is ready for ring return

BIRSTALL-BASED boxer Callum Blockley is on the comeback trail after a tough year out of the ring.
Blockley will fight Sheffield’s Owen Durnan on Saturday after just over a year of inactivity at Alfreton Leisure Centre on the John Ashton Promotions #DontBlink show.
He said: "It's been a difficult year. But when I look back on my career so far, I boxed seven times from making my debut in April 2018 to the COVID-19 lockdown in March 2020. Since Small-Hall Boxing returned I've only fought six times since December 2021 and to get myself back to where I want to be, I need to be a bit more consistent."
