'Only Fools at Empire is must-see show'

FOR years I thought the only channel my mum's TV had was Gold.

Every time I'd walk into her house the sound of Derek and Rodney Trotter bickering over whether or not they were going to be millionaires this time next year would be the soundtrack to the living room.

Either that, or the famous beats of “no income tax, no VAT, no money back, no guarantee...” you get the gist. So as you can imagine when I heard Only Fools and Horses the Musical was coming to Liverpool Empire Theatre I was ecstatic.

Last night, surrounded by possibly the happiest crowd to have ever gathered inside the Empire, I watched the incredibly funny Paul Whitehouse joined on stage by Sam Lupton, Tom Major and many more talented actors to perform a stage adaptation of John Sullivan's legendary TV show.
