The mural - painted on the wall at the Alan Kelly Town End - is part of Preston North End Community and Education Trust's (PNECET) Invincibles Heritage Project and has been funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.

Content was developed by Michael Barrett, heritage coordinator at PNECET, who worked on the final design with Shawn and Ben Rhodes, head of football operations at PNE. club historian and statistician, Ian Rigby and Martin Atherton, were also consulted.

All those involved made speeches prior to the unveiling during a VIP event in the Greats' Room at Deepdale.

Ben Rhodes kicked off proceedings by sharing his excitement about bringing the club's history to life through the mural.

He also praised Shawn, saying: "The fact that he's been able to do this amazing thing in such a short space of time - I think it's going to have lasting impact."
