Academy students celebrate 'life-changing' trip to Ghana

STUDENTS at Dover Christ Church Academy have celebrated after completing a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Ghana.

Parents, students and staff attended the celebration as the Year 11 students shared stories, photos, and videos of their experiences.
All of the students were presented with a photo book keepsake which recorded the trip.
A total of 20 Year 11s travelled to Ghana with teachers Bonnie Tillotson and Jason Atkinson on March 25, returning on May 5.
The trip, organised through an external company, African Adventures, gave the students the chance to volunteer at a school in Ghana.
They supported and taught lessons as well as helping with the construction of the school through basic building work.
