Sea Scrub Sauna starts work on beachside therapy hub
Dover Express
|December 18, 2025
PLANS to open Kent's largest beachside sauna in Folkestone have been approved, with work now under way on a custom-built hot-cold therapy hub on the shingle near Folkestone Harbour.
-
The project, which confirms the seaside sauna and wild swimming trend is here to stay, is the result of a collaboration between Folkestone Harbour and Sea Scrub Sauna.
The new development will be the biggest space to date for Sea Scrub Sauna, which already operates sites in Margate, Whitstable, and Faversham.
A statement from the company confirmed that following the grant of planning permission this month, work is now moving forward at “full speed” towards an opening date that will be announced soon.
