Skipper Heather's heroics throws series wide open

HEATHER KNIGHT spoke of her “relief and ecstasy” after putting Australia to the sword and helping her Ashes battlers dramatically level the multiformat series. 

The courageous captain led from the front, top-scoring with an unbeaten 75 from 86 balls to ensure England reached their 264 target in this ODI clash with two wickets and 11 balls remaining.

Now, with the score level at 6-6, the battle for ultimate supremacy will be decided in the final two 50over clashes.

Knight kept cool, calm and calculated despite a late collapse when victory looked to be slipping from her side’s hands.
