JACK DRAPER will overtake Novak Djokovic in the world rankings after booking his spot in the semi-finals of the Madrid Open.

The British No.1 thrashed Matteo Arnaldi, the unseeded Italian who stunned Djokovic, 6-0 6-4 in yesterday's quarter-final.

At No.6 in the world, Draper is the highest-ranked man left in the draw and he is two wins away from a second Masters 1000 title.

After reaching his first clay semi-final - where he will face Lorenzo Musetti - Draper, 23, said: "I feel stronger every time I play.
