PER - 'THE WOMAN WHO DRESSES THE FESTIVAL'

A MODEL, entrepreneur and mother-of-two, Jade Holland Cooper started a fashion brand from her university halls - and now owns one of the hottest labels worn during the National Hunt season and beyond.

While seeing her creations is commonplace on courses, it's the product of years of hard graft. Jade was just eight when she first tried her hand at business, flogging eggs at school laid on her family farm in Ipswich.

"My father always jokes that I was doing my own little P&L [profit and loss] sheets even back then. I think I always knew I wanted to run my own business," Jade reveals.

You may now be wondering whether the chicken or the egg came first. But what matters is what happened afterwards - the launch of a clothing empire worth £64million and donned by the likes of Claudia Winkleman and Kate Middleton.

Jade, 39, says: "When I started out, I had many people telling me it wouldn't work, that manufacturing in the UK wasn't commercially viable and that it simply wouldn't scale, but now this is one of our biggest selling points.

"Our tailoring is still hand-cut and crafted here in Britain, and we source our tweeds and wools from Scotland and Yorkshire.
