Swinney urges Scots to follow Burns into 2026

JOHN Swinney has urged Scots to follow the message of Robert Burns Auld Lang Syne and show small acts of kindness in 2026.
The First Minister used his New Year message to look ahead to Scotland's return to the World Cup finals next summer.
But the SNP leader also cautioned that the start of a new year could be a difficult for some, as he urged Scots to come together.
