ADAM HASTINGS has nothing but praise for Scotland new boy Tom Jordan even though they are scrapping for a start against Australia.

ROCK ON TOMMY

Hastings and Jordan have had to share the No.10 jersey for Glasgow this season.

And with Finn Russell back in the mix to play the Wallabies on Sunday, there might not be room in Gregor Townsend's 23 for both.

Jordan is more versatile so favourite to get the nod.

But whatever happens, Hastings is happy to talk up his team-mate, who made his debut off the bench against Fiji, earned a first start against South Africa, then was man of the match in the win over Portugal four days ago.

Hastings said: "Tom's brilliant, isn't he? He can play pretty much anywhere on that backline. I'm just so impressed with the way he's taken to international rugby, to be honest. Even in that Fiji game when he came on, he's so confident.

"Then against South Africa, to play at 15 where he's not played much before, to slot in there and do an absolute job.
