RASKIN: GERS ARE NOW BACK FROM DEAD

NICO RASKIN admits Rangers' title bid was left sitting on death's door - but reckons the Ibrox men are alive and kicking now.

- BY ANDY NEWPORT

Gers beat Aberdeen on Tuesday night to move above Celtic, who have a game in hand on them, into second place - and close to within just three points of Premiership leaders Hearts.

Danny Rohl's side have played a game more than the Jambos but Raskin is convinced his team have seen the light after their disastrous start under Russell Martin.

Gers' new German gaffer inherited a team that looked dead and buried back in October - with the Light Blues sitting sixth, eight points behind Celtic and THIRTEEN behind Derek McInnes' surprise table-toppers.

Now having bitten a big chunk out of that deficit, Raskin sees no reason why Rangers can't resurrect their title hopes.

Raskin - whose side have now won four straight games for the first time in 13 months - said: "Well we came back from a long way behind so if we can do that and if we can keep going, why not? Four wins in a row, it's been big.
