A WOMAN who sweats three litres a day and can't leave the house has told how the NHS has stopped her treatment.
-
Darcie Hamilton, 22, has battled with the condition since she was 10 when she first realised she perspired more heavily than everyone else.
The condition, known as hyperhidrosis, meant she had to have around five showers a day and take three changes of clothes to school.
Darcie, who lives near Ayr, ended up being bullied and left school at 14.
The condition remains torture for Darcie.
She sweats from the tops of her armpits down to her waist.
Additionally, she has developed sores in her armpits and serious blisters across her palms.
Darcie said: “The sweat would be from the top of my armpit all the way down to the bottom of my waist. I was going to school in the winter without a jacket just so I wouldn't sweat. The older I got, the more visible it became.
