Martin admits injury curse is real head-scratcher for him

ALISTAIR JOHNSTON will join Callum Osmand in surgery tomorrow as Marcelo Saracchi added to Celtic's chronic injury issues.

Manager Martin O'Neill gave a shock update on the Canadian international following his team’s win over Kilmarnock.

Johnston was out for almost two months at the beginning of the season with a hamstring injury and broke down last month during his comeback against Sturm Graz.

O'Neill has now confirmed the defender and Osmand will both go under the knife after the young striker's devastating setback last week.

The ex-Fulham kid was stretchered off with his own hamstring problem during the Europa League loss to FC Midtjylland.

Saracchi pulled up during the first half against Killie and O’Neill offered the situation on the trio as he spoke about the Uruguayan's setback.

He said: “He's done his hamstring. I don't know what this game's about, really, honestly.
