DUNCAN WEIR admits greeting his Rangers hero Ally McCoist was the perfect way to round off his Glasgow farewell.

The former Scotland fly-half came off the bench to score against Zebre in his last Warriors appearance before retirement.

Weir starts a new job as a coach in the Scotstoun academy this morning and reckons he couldn't have asked for a better ending to his playing days than Saturday night.

The homegrown hero was given a guard of honour from youngsters at his former club, Cambuslang, as well as kids Harry and Emily.
