Haji hat-trick sees Coventry leapfrog Boro at Championship summit

- BY CRAIG JOHNS

WRIGHT WAY TO TOP FOR LAMPS

COVENTRY put an end to Middlesbrough's fine run of form to leapfrog their rivals and return to the top of the Championship table.

Boro had won six league games in a row going into this match, but Haji Wright's hat-trick moved Frank Lampard’s outfit back to the summit and added to their run of seven victories in a row over the visitors.

Coventry had moved ten points clear when they beat Boro in November, but went into last night crucial meeting of the pair two points behind Kim Hellberg’s side.

The Sky Blues had won just four of their last 13 league matches, but had built up such a lead that they remained in the top two.
