Mum says police 'played their part' in murder of her daughter by abusive ex

THE mum of a woman murdered by her abusive ex says police "played a part in her death".

Samantha Mitchell, 47, believes Courtney, 26, “would still be here” had police “done their job correctly”.

She said: “She was always let down throughout her life and I will not have her let down in her death - she will get the justice she deserves.”

Drug dealer Logan Burnett, jealous of mum-of-three Courtney's new relationship, chased her down in the street and fatally stabbed her.
