Daily Express
|January 31, 2025
THE Princess of Wales played with seriously ill children and chatted with bereaved families during a surprise visit to a hospice yesterday.
Kate, 43, met six youngsters having end-of-life care at Ty Hafan Children's Hospice as she was announced as its new patron.
She spent time chatting to the youngsters and their families during a "stay and play" event, getting stuck in with painting and other fun-filled activities.
Kate even got her hand painted bright red as she played at the hospice in Sully, near Cardiff.
The trip marked her second engagement of the week, having decided at the last minute to join her husband Prince William at the official commemorations marking Holocaust Memorial Day on Monday. It is understood that she will be continuing her gradual resumption of official duties following her remission from cancer.Kate said, "This is very vibrant", as she entered a room where children were being entertained by a guitarist.
