“Telangana Police Topped in Policing in country in India Justice Report-2025”

India Justice Report-2025

Tata Trust has released the “India Justice Report” on April 15, 2025 is a first of its kind national periodic reporting that ranks the capacity of states to deliver justice. It takes into account more than 30 total performance indicators to assess the capacity to deliver the justice system through the filters of human resources, infrastructure, budgets, workload and diversity to mandate; police, prisons, judiciary, legal aid as core pillars (core areas). In collaboration with the Center for Social Justice, Common Cause, Commonwealth Human Rights Initiative, TISS (Tata Institute of Social Science), Vidhi Center for Legal Policy prepared a Compressive report based on information from 2019 to 2024.

Telangana State 1st in ranking of Policing:

Telangana has secured the top position in the Police category of the India Justice Report (IJR) 2025 among large and mid-sized states. The state achieved a score of 6.48 out of 10, followed by Andhra Pradesh (6.44) and Karnataka (6.19), which ranked second and third respectively. Telangana's top ranking reflects its consistent efforts in enhancing policing effectiveness and ensuring public safety. These achievements underscore Telangana Police commitment to proactive, citizen-oriented policing and their role in setting national benchmarks in law enforcement.
