I SPENT time in Turkey recently, and while I was there I booked myself in for a traditional hammam. Refreshed and rejuvenated, afterwards I felt incredible. And I realised something... it would be so easy to recreate at home.
WHAT IS A HAMMAM?
A hammam, or Turkish bath, is a ritual hailing from the Middle East and North Africa dating back to the Roman and Byzantine eras. It involves a sequence of steam, exfoliation and massage with the aim of promoting physical and mental cleansing and relaxation.
