AFTER another excellent cameo as a substitute against Preston North End, the noise surrounding Derby County striker Patrick Agyemang is growing louder by the week.

Heading into today's away game against Wrexham (12.30pm), the biggest question surrounding the American is whether he will start in what promises to be a captivating showdown.

Rams head coach John Eustace has been cautious about the striker, and rightly so.

He missed the entire preseason because of a double hernia operation needed after his involvement with the USA in the Gold Cup.

It's a similar situation to Alexander Isak’s at Liverpool, although the circumstances behind his lack of fitness are entirely different, as the Sweden international has yet to play a full 90 minutes. Liverpool boss Arne Slot has used the Swede with caution and he only played another 45 minutes on Tuesday in the Carabao Cup against Southampton.
