CAMPAIGN TO GET THOSE OVER 60 TO JOIN EVERYONE ACTIVE

PEOPLE over the age of 60 are being urged to 'become physically and mentally active' as part of a campaign to prove that 'age is just a number'.

Now in its fifth year, the Everyone Active campaign celebrates the senior demographic by showcasing their fitness stories and proving what can be achieved by staying active into later life.

It launched on October 5 also known as Silver Sunday the national day dedicated to celebrating older people - and will run until November 17.

Green Bank Leisure Centre in Swadlincote and Etwall Leisure Centre, run by award-winning operator Everyone Active in partnership with South Derbyshire District Council, is now encouraging the older generation to visit their local centre and enjoy the wide range of activities on offer.
