Final warning for police officer who misused confidential logs

A POLICE officer who checked confidential logs to see who was living at his old home has been handed a final warning.

PC Hill's 'curiosity got the better of him' when he accessed a West Midlands Police system and clicked on his previous address.

He had been searching for another incident when he decided to look at details of the new occupier.

The officer also reported a crime after burglars targeted a property he was renovating and made off with bathroom materials. But he went on to search a force system almost 30 times just because he 'wanted to know where the investigation was up to'.
