U-turn sees club legend back at Stanley

Conneely returns just two months after Reds release
ACCRINGTON Stanley have performed an about-turn on midfielder Seamus Conneely, handing the 36-year-old a new one-year contract.
The move comes just two months after Conneely's release at the end of the 2024/25 season.
At the time, manager John Doolan said: “Seamus has led the football club superbly both on and off the field of play for over a decade.
“He has been the ultimate professional throughout his time with Stanley and will go down as a club legend.”
However, following discussions over the summer, Conneely will extend his stay at the Wham Stadium into a twelfth campaign.
