Schools forced to close as cold weather bites

TWO schools in Lancashire were forced to close amid the freezing cold snap.
Mount Carmel RC High School in Accrington could not open on Monday due to the 'adverse weather'.
A post on the school’s website reads: “School closure. Tex message updates will be sent to parents/carers.”
St Francis’ Catholic Primary School in Goosnargh was also closed to all pupils.
Lancashire County Council posted on its website saying: “All roads around school are unsafe as they have not been gritted.”
