Before the creation of Levenger in 1987 and the Levenger True Writer pen collection in 1999, Steve Leveen had already accrued the mental archive necessary for the pen's success. Indeed, Steve gathered this intelligence like a bird keen on building an impenetrable nest.
Articulate and thoughtful, it is no surprise to learn that Steve was a freelance non-fiction writer. Interestingly, he was also head of new business development for a software company. Alongside his wife, Lori-who brought a vast array of her own occupational experiences to the venture-Steve created an empire out of a new concept for home study decor and a single pen design. Over ten years after their retirement from daily operations, Levenger is stronger than ever.
That applies directly to Levenger's True Writer line of pens, which has become so beloved by customers. Now, Levenger is celebrating the True Writer's 25th anniversary, a testament to its quality and large fanbase. Because the True Writer has been so popular and effective. Levenger has kept the functions of the model-that is, the engineering-the same. After all, an outstanding and exemplary pen need not revamp its internal mechanics. But we know customers love aesthetic variety, and Levenger understands that. The various iterations are awe inspiring; meanwhile, the performance of the precision-engineered pens remains excellent.
Margaret Moraskie is a longtime Levenger employee and has served as CEO since 2022. She says, "It's an honor and a privilege to lead this exceptional legacy brand through new chapters. The True Writer is just one story that inspires all of us at Levenger to carry on Steve and Lori's legacy of quality, service, and innovation. The True Writer collection is a beautiful example."
