SMILE FOR THE CAMERA
-
When Tim Cook unveiled the iPhone XS earlier in the month, all eyes were on the new XS Max, and the more affordable iPhone XR model, designed to appease price-conscious consumers. It makes sense - many of the iPhone XS features were leaked ahead of its release, and critics and fans alike already knew what to expect. But now that the dust has settled and a trio of iPhones are available to purchase online and at Apple Stores around the world, it’s time to unpack the technology inside of the new devices - namely, the camera inside of the iPhone XS and XS Max.

This week, we’re taking a closer look at the iPhone XS camera, explore the brand new sensors, processors, and algorithms that will make for stunning selfies and landscape shots, and explore how features like depth mapping and stereo playback will transform the way we capture those important moments in our lives, whether that be through a selfie, a FaceTime call, or a video.
SMART TECHNOLOGY TRANSFORMS PHOTOGRAPHY
Barely a year has gone by without a camera upgrade inside of the iPhone, whether that be an upgraded resolution and megapixel rating, the addition of the front-facing camera back in the iPhone 4, or the launch of a wide-angle, 2x tele dual camera that first came with the launch of the iPhone 7 Plus in September 2016. Photography has played a major role in the success of the iPhone, and so having the most innovative and up-todate camera equipment inside of the device is essential.
