In this issue number 111 of Villas&Golfe; we address three very different universes, and, at the same time, so similar, if you think of them in terms of their exclusivity and rarity. We talk about luxury real estate, art and antiques, which together combine spaces and make their history endure through time. The essence of a piece of art or antique is valued throughout its life, which often has the ability to make something eternal. These are pieces that pass from generation to generation, and arrive from other centuries, bringing to our memories the recollections of a past. Stories are told through objects, paintings, furniture, porcelain. And we went to hear the stories of some art and antiques ‘caretakers’ in Portugal, such as Mário Roque, Manuel Portela, Luís Alegria and Maria do Carmo – the people engaged in perpetuating in time works that once belonged to kings, queens, artists and nations, whose memory will remain forever. There is also a certain exclusivity and rarity in real estate projects, because there is architecture designed and conceived to endure in time, whether in the present time or in that which remains for history. There are those who have left us the emotion of different eras and times through their architectural projects, just as, even today, there are those who continue to do so, through iconic works that will remain for life. In this issue, we talk about some of these players: Miguel Saraiva, Vasco Vieira Arquitectos, Vic Properties, Hyline and Traçado Regulador. Brands and faces that will endure through time.
