The "Hydraulics & Pneumatics" section in IPF Feb 2019 explained how adoption of electronic and proportional controls in the equipment and machineries is having an impact on the industry. Good lubricants possess the various characteristics like high boiling point, low freezing point, high resistance to oxidation, corrosion prevention, high viscosity index, thermal stability, hydraulic stability, and demulsibility. In its "Third Focus Section", IPF elaborated on effect of rise in auto sales, rapid industrialisation and shifting of the production hubs to India on the consumption of lubricants in India.
