A recent revelation has made me appreciate the necessity of looking after oneself holistically, rather than singularly, understanding that one’s wellness is affected as much by your mind, mood and emotions as it is by physical fitness. Today, wellbeing has to benefit your whole being, not just the individual parts that make you a whole. And so, this month we go beyond the ‘traditional’ to find truly special spas, clinics and retreats that are redefining the wellness industry, from Amanpuri in Phuket and Chenot Palace Weggis in Switzerland, to Soneva Jani in the Maldives.
They say that you can’t teach an old dog new tricks, but the hospitality industry constantly proves that you can, and so we outline the game-changers and brands breathing new life into old favourites, with hotel upgrades, innovations and renovations around the world.
