Lori Rahn was just looking for a pet when she welcomed an 8-week-old English doodle pup, a cross between a poodle and English cream golden retriever, into her Cincinnati home five years ago. With her white woolly coat, floppy ears and shining eyes, Annie Rose quickly stole Lori's heart. And it wasn't long before Lori discovered her new furry friend had a gift for bringing joy.
While out for a walk when she was 4 months old, Annie Rose rushed up to some ladies sitting on a bench and placed her chin on one woman's knee.
Lori tried to coax her away, but Annie Rose refused to leave or break eye contact with the woman, whose face lit up.
"I'm terminal...I think she's picking up on that," the woman told Lori.
