After struggling for almost a decade with debilitating insomnia, Kendra Jarratt finally discovered an inexpensive natural remedy that has her sleeping more soundly than she has in years
Well, this will be another lost day, Kendra Jarratt, 51, thought after a restless night. Since she was 42, Kendra had been experiencing sleep disturbances, like waking up with hot flashes, restless legs or horrible anxiety. The lack of sleep was affecting every part of her life. It was hard to focus on work, almost impossible to stay organized or get in a good workout, and she wasn’t making good food choices. She had low energy and wondered every night as she went to bed if she was going to be able to fall asleep.
After a few years of consistently poor sleep, Kendra had tried everything. She eliminated caffeine and alcohol at night, and she never ate any later than 2 hours before her bedtime. But nothing was working, and Kendra was frustrated. Her doctor prescribed trazodone, an antidepressant and sedative commonly used as a sleep aid. It didn’t help her, and Kendra knew she didn’t want to depend on a sedative every night anyway. She wanted to find something natural.
