Ready for a recharge? We're spotlighting one joy-sparking destination at a time—because every great trip starts with a little inspiration.
Boston is a city you'll never want to leave. It feels historic yet also cool and modern. From wandering through the beautiful Boston Public Garden and spotting the Make Way for Ducklings statues to tracking down a TikTok-famous candy store while shopping on Newbury Street, there are endless things to see and do. You can explore area campuses (Boston College, Boston University, Emerson College, Harvard University, and Northeastern University are just a few), take in views and history by land and sea on a Boston Duck Tour, or dip a trendy bagel in the cream cheese of the day in the Seaport District. Let this guide help you explore some of the many offerings of this great city.
HOW TO GET THEREForget traffic and airport delays—take the train! Riding the rails is more desirable than ever. Look for everyday discounts (kids 2 to 12 can ride with an adult for 50% off; students 17 to 24 can save 15%; seniors and military personnel can get 10% off). Trains come direct to Boston from as far north as Portland, ME, and as far south as Newport News, VA. Visit amtrak.com or use the free Amtrak app to plan your next train trip, whether to Boston or beyond.
