STAN WALKER 'FAMILY IS NUMBER 1'

The Kiwi musician's over the moon about a new baby and album

Stan Walker has a lot on his plate at the moment! He and wife Lou Tyson, 31, have recently welcomed a baby girl and he’s just released a new album, All In.

Already a stepfather to Lou’s son Te Puuwairua from a previously relationship, Stan admits that managing two little ones is no walk in the park.

“We’ve got a three-year-old and a newborn, so it’s busy!” he says of fatherhood. “The baby needs to get fed and changed, I need to look after my wife when she’s tired… but I feel like we’re doing it and this is what every parent has to deal with, no matter what you do for work, you just have to adapt.”

Despite the pressure that comes with a new baby and a new album, Stan is absolutely fizzing with excitement.

“This album has been five years in the making,” he says with a glint in his eye. “I’m the most excited, relieved and scared I’ve ever been about a release, because it’s so close to me… I’m really proud of it.”

All In is Stan’s seventh studio album – an offering that pairs his trademark anthems and love for R&B with a cathartic venting of his personal demons.
