Nicole Kidman wasted no time jetting back home to her beloved mum mere days after revealing how much she misses her home country and being close to her beloved family.

The 56-year-old Oscarwinning actress was clearly happy to be escorting her mum Janelle, 82, out for lunch at a friend's house, less than a week after flying to Australia from her press tour for TV drama Special Ops: Lioness.

The mum-of-four has made no secret of her struggles being so far away from Janelle, who was hospitalised in 2016 with heart issues.

"I would love to be able to have a cup of tea with Mum and sit on the balcony and talk about life and have her tell me what I should be doing," she told The Sydney Morning Herald in 2020.

However, worried Nicole makes every effort to jet back to Sydney at short notice and has often arrived unannounced at family celebrations.
