Prince Harry is leaving Montecito to film his upcoming Netflix documentary in Africa, and sources say it's "perfect timing" as tensions continue to implode at home with the Duchess of Sussex.

"They need some time out if there's ever going to be a chance at working through their problems," says an insider. "He's at a loss as to how to fix their reputation and is 'going back to work, like he should have been doing in the first place.

"He'd just finished shooting his 2016 documentary in Africa when he met Meghan and it's fair to say he wants to go back to where he most felt at peace. Africa's always been an escape and he needs space to think about how best to navigate his marriage and his future."
