With its shapely statement bath and opulent finishes, Eleanor Bowmer's new en suite is boutique hotel-worthy

Having renovated their 1930s house in Worsley, illustrator and textile designer Eleanor Bowmer and husband Ollie had the chance to redesign their en suite from scratch, and the result is simply stunning.

‘I wanted to create a luxury hotel vibe with our en suite,’ says Eleanor, ‘so kept it sleek with marble, luxe gold fixtures to give it an expensive feel and the amazing statement bath as the star of the show.’

With a clear vision of how she wanted it to look, the first step was working out the most practical layout. Given the compact space, the couple had to be savvy with the placement of key pieces to fit everything in. The freestanding bath sits snugly against the back wall, while they also opted for a wet room rather than a standard shower enclosure for a streamlined look. A glam reeded-glass shower screen creates a division between the shower area and the en suite’s basin and vanity unit.
