Hamstring Stretch

Hip mobility is a crucial pillar for a healthy back. Tight hamstrings "pull" on your sitting bones leading to spine misalignment.

  • Kneel (on a towel for support), engage your core, and extend one leg in front of you, keeping the knee slightly bent.
  • Hinge forward from the hips - so that you gently push your bum back without rounding the back.
  • You should feel the resulting stretch in the middle of the hamstring muscle - not the back of the knee.
  • Hold the stretch for 30 seconds. Repeat on the other leg. Perform two sets per leg.
