Norway is known for its majestic fjord regions. Often described as the crown jewel of Norway's fjords, the 15-kilometre-long Geirangerfjord is an innermost branch of the Storfjord and is easily reached from the art nouveau city of Ålesund.

Among the most famous are De syv søstrene (The Seven Sisters), Friaren (The Suitor), and Brudesløret (The Bridal Veil), each adding to the fjord's almost theatrical beauty.
