Tech-First SUV for India's Electric Future

Tata Motors is charging ahead in India's electric revolution with the new Tata Harrier EV—an SUV that proves an electric vehicle can be rugged, smart, and future-ready. Under its muscular design lies a suite of advanced technologies, making the Harrier EV not just a cleaner alternative but a showcase of modern automotive innovation.
The Harrier EV comes with two battery pack options: 65kWh or a larger 75kWh unit. The bigger pack delivers a claimed range of up to 627 km for the rear-wheel-drive version and 622 km for the all-wheel-drive variant—numbers that put range anxiety firmly in the rearview mirror.
The sophisticated battery management system constantly monitors temperature and cell performance to optimize energy use and lifespan, crucial for India's diverse climate conditions. Fast-charging capability means drivers can juice up from 10% to 80% in under an hour at compatible DC fast chargers, keeping downtime minimal.
What sets the Harrier EV apart from many rivals is its dual-motor AWD system. By placing an electric motor on each axle, the Harrier EV delivers a robust 313 horsepower and 504 Nm of torque. But the magic lies in how smartly it's delivered: software-based torque vectoring constantly adjusts power between front and rear, giving the SUV excellent traction on wet urban streets and rough rural roads alike.
Regenerative braking on both motors further recoups energy, extending the driving range while reducing brake wear—a win-win for efficiency and maintenance.
